Intensifying economic cooperation with Gabon

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, Francophonie, Regional Integration and the Diaspora of Gabon, Pacôme Moubelet-Boubeya.

Selaković thanked the head of Gabon's diplomacy for leading the country's delegation in Belgrade at a high-level gathering marking the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the NAM, saying that the visit and meeting on the sidelines were an additional incentive for the improvement of bilateral cooperation that has many untapped potentials.

The Minister expressed Serbia's readiness to intensify political dialogue and economic cooperation with Gabon, informing his interlocutor about Serbia's economic successes and the fact that our country has been the fastest growing economy in Europe in the last two years.

Selaković also pointed out that Serbia is a very attractive destination for direct foreign investments, explaining that it is the merit of a serious and thoughtful policy of our leadership, led by President Aleksandar Vučić.

On this occasion, the head of Serbian diplomacy congratulated Gabon on the extraordinary economic success that the country is achieving.

Selaković as well expressed the expectation that cooperation in the field of education will continue, stating that Serbia has quadrupled the number of scholarships it offers to students from Gabon within the “World in Serbia” program.
