Joint organization of the NAM event – friendship of Serbia and Azerbaijan to get stronger

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković has met in New York today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the conversation, Selaković stated that the relations of our two countries were friendly and there was a mutual interest in strengthening of the strategic partnership and intensification of the political dialog at the top and high level. He emphasized that great relations of presidents Vučić and Aliyev greatly contributed to such cooperation of Serbia and Azerbaijan.

Repeating his satisfaction with the fact that Serbia and Azerbaijan, as the presiding of the Non-Allied Movement, jointly organize the event on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the non-allied in Belgrade, Selaković said that it would be another opportunity to strengthen the friendship and cooperation of our countries.

The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked his interlocutor for the consistent attitude of Azerbaijan that the stability of the international order must be based on the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries and the support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

Serbia and Azerbaijan, according to Minister Selaković, have great unexploited room for the intensification of the economic cooperation and therefore it is very important for the Joint Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation to continue to provide support to contacts of entrepreneurs.
