Lebanon's active and firm support for the territorial integrity of Serbia

Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković met today with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib.

Selaković thanked the Lebanese head of diplomacy for the delegation of that friendly country attending the high-level gathering on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, especially having in mind that Lebanon participated in the Belgrade conference six decades ago.

The Minister pointed out that the two countries have a long tradition of diplomatic relations lasting 75 years, saying that our country is determined to further strengthen political dialogue, as well as overall relations with Lebanon.

Selaković especially thanked Lebanon for its principled and active support for the territorial integrity of Serbia, and the strong support it provides our country within international organizations.

As he pointed out, Lebanon is an important partner of our country in the Middle East market, and Serbia is ready to develop cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, transport, agriculture, etc.

The ministers discussed the coronavirus pandemic, and the head of Serbian diplomacy said that Serbia had given its contribution in the fight against the virus by donating a number of vaccines, and that it had helped many friendly countries, including Lebanon, to which we delivered 40,000 doses.
