Minister Dacic confers with the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu.

In the talks, they expressed satisfaction with the first bilateral visit at the level of foreign minister and the hope that visits at the highest level would be intensified in the future.

They agreed that the bilateral relations were traditionally good and friendly and that both countries were firmly committed to the further development, promotion and deepening of overall cooperation.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic particularly emphasised that we highly valued the support of friendly Kazakhstan in preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

The interlocutors expressed mutual expectation that this visit would give a strong impetus to the further development of overall cooperation, especially in the economy, considering numerous, but as yet underutilized potentials, including the possibility of establishing direct flights between Belgrade and Astana.

Invitations for visits at the top, presidential level in the upcoming period were confirmed on both sides.

Views were also exchanged on the main current global and regional topics.
