Minister Đurić confers with Croatian Foreign Minister Grlić Radman
During the meeting, which took place at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers discussed a wide range of topics of mutual interest. Particular attention was given to various aspects of the implementation of the Dayton Agreement. A high degree of alignment was reached on the necessity of ensuring equal representation of all three constituent peoples through political processes, as well as the full respect for the competences of the entities—the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina—in accordance with the Dayton structure.
The ministers also discussed models for enhancing bilateral cooperation and agreed on continuing to work along a dual-track approach—simultaneously developing current and future cooperation projects while addressing outstanding issues from the past.
Minister Đurić emphasized that fostering good neighborly relations is among the key priorities of Serbia’s foreign policy. He highlighted the importance of improving transport and other cross-border links and expressed support for accelerating the work of coordinators and joint commissions tasked with addressing open issues. Representatives of both the Serbian and Croatian national councils also took part in the meeting and contributed actively to the discussions.
According to Minister Đurić, Serbia is committed to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with Croatia on an equal footing, as well as enhancing political, economic, and other ties while continuously improving the status of the Serbian community in Croatia and the Croatian community in Serbia.
Minister Đurić noted that preserving regional stability—and thereby ensuring prospects for continued economic development and accelerating the EU integration of the Western Balkans—should be a shared responsibility of all democratically elected political actors in the region.
He underscored the need for more dialogue in the region, along with concrete steps aimed at building trust and fostering cooperation.
