Selaković discussed with President of Mexico

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, has met today with the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

Selaković expressed his pleasure with the fact that the Serbian delegation attended at the Mexican capital the solemn celebration of three important anniversaries of Mexico saying that it was an honor to share nice moments with friends.

Emphasizing traditional and honest friendship of our two countries, Selaković expressed his particular satisfaction with the fact that this visit coincided with an important jubilee of Serbia and Mexico – 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The Minister added that this important anniversary would be celebrated in appropriate manifestations both in Serbia and Mexico.

Selaković said that Serbia was committed to the improvement of the comprehensive relations with Mexico with the special focus on the intensification of the political dialog and economic cooperation.

With regards to this, Selaković stated that the visit of President Obrador to Serbia would be of great, historical importance.

The Serbian Foreign Minister highlighted that Serbia valued greatly the consistent stance of Mexico regarding non-recognition of so-called Kosovo and support to inviolability of the Serbian sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He informed President Obrador on the current situation in K&M, the latest provocations of Priština, but also the jeopardy in which our sanctities and the Serbian cultural heritage were.

Furthermore, Selaković expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in many fields, such as culture, science, sports, education, tourism, but also cooperations of cities and municipalities.
