Selaković: Very good and stable relations between Serbia and Austria

Minister of Foreign Affair of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selaković met today with Austrian Ambassador Nikolaus Lutterotti, who soon ends his term in the Republic of Serbia.

Minister Selaković stated that the overall relations between Serbia and Austria were very good, developed and stable, which was greatly contributed to by the regular meetings of top officials from the two countries.

Minister Selaković referred to the last week's visit of Chancellor Karl Nehammer, emphasising that it showed that Serbia and the Western Balkans were in the focus of Austrian foreign policy. On that occasion, he also extended an invitation to the Head of Austrian diplomacy to visit Serbia after the upcoming elections.

Minister Selaković stated that, in addition to exceptional political relations, we were committed to the constant strengthening of economic cooperation with Austria.

Minister Selaković was pleased to point out that Austria was one of Serbia's leading economic partners, as well as one of the largest investors with investments of 2.585 billion euros.

Minister Selaković thanked the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the assistance in organising polling stations for the Serbian diaspora in Austria for the elections to be held on 3 April.
