Political relations
Political relations between Serbia and Malaysia are underdeveloped, with a tendency to improve. Malaysia has an Embassy in Belgrade.
There was no exchange of visits at the highest level between Serbia and Malaysia, and the last high-level visit was made in September 2011, when the then Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia A. Aman participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade. On that occasion, he met with the then Serbian President B. Tadić and the then Minister of Foreign Affairs V. Jeremić.
Economic relations
Trade between Serbia and Malaysia in 2022 amounted to 131,695 milion USD (8,09 milion USD of Serbian exports).

- Exchange of notes between FR Yugoslavia and Malaysia on the re-establishment of diplomatic relations, signed on 23 January 2003.
