FDPM and FM Dačić with the Ambassador of Argentina

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić received Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina Osvaldo Marsico today. It was noted that bilateral political relations are at a high level, based on mutual understanding and support regarding priority issues for the two countries.

Both colleagues confirmed the interest in the comprehensive development of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, as well as the interest to further strengthen the political dialogue at high levels, including a visit by the MFA of Argentina to the Republic of Serbia and a continued dialogue between the two ministries of foreign affairs.

H.E Ambassador Marsico informed about their position regarding the decision by the PISG in Pristina to send members of the Kosovo Security Forces to the Falkland Islands, as part of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, stressing that it is in violation of the UN General Assembly resolutions, which call on the two sides to refrain from of unilateral decisions until a solution to the dispute over sovereignty over the Falkland Islands is reached.

He expressed gratitude for the announcement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published on that occasion.

Minister Dačić expressed gratitude for Argentina’s principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia. It was pointed out that we consider the engagement of the Kosovo Security Forces in foreign missions inadmissible, since it is a violation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
