FDPM and FM Dačić with the Ambassador of Armenia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić spoke today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Serbia on a non-residential basis, based in Prague, Ashot Hovakimian, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Serbia.

FDPM and FM Dačić welcomed the ambassador and wished him success in the meetings planned during his stay in Belgrade, which will further strengthen the already good and friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Armenia. Minister Dačić assessed the bilateral relations between the two countries as extremely good and pointed out that there is significant room for their improvement. The minister confirmed that the Republic of Serbia is firmly committed to strengthening and deepening bilateral relations with the Republic of Armenia, which Serbia sees as a friendly country.

Ambassador Hovakimian expressed gratitude for the reception and stated that the opening of the Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Prague, based in Belgrade, planned for the upcoming period, will strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.

It was agreed to continue the successful cooperation and further improve the overall bilateral cooperation. Both sides also reiterated their openness and readiness to exchange opinions on important issues in regional and multilateral frameworks.
