Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and President of the Commission for Coordination of the Process of Permanent Integration of Refugees Nikola Selaković participated today in the handing over of keys to families of refugees from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina who had been given apartments under the Regional Housing Programme in the Republic of Serbia.

On this occasion, Minister Selaković told the beneficiaries of the RHP that this was the end of a long and difficult journey that had lasted almost 30 years, from the time when they left their old homes and arrived in Serbia, their new home. He wished them a life full of love and happiness, and many beautiful moments in their new apartments.

Thanking the donators, Minister Selaković particularly highlighted how proud he was that more and more housing solutions were being provided under the RHP, and that he believed this successful journey would continue.

“As a member of the Government, I can tell you that Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and President Aleksandar Vučić are paying particular attention to solving the refugee issue, and I am convinced that we will, in spite of the global crisis, keep finding homes for the refugees”, said Minister Selaković.

Minister Selaković also stated that Serbia was nearing the moment of opening the first section of the Morava Corridor, which would connect Corridor 10 with Corridor “Miloš Veliki”, and that this would mark a new beginning for the towns of Varvarin, Ćićevac and Kruševac.

“I wish you happiness, health and joy and many beautiful moments in your new homes, and a very happy Easter”, concluded Minister Selaković.

After the keys had been handed over to five families, Minister Selaković visited the newly constructed housing units, together with the new residents, presidents of municipalities, and the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Cucić.
