Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selaković said after the UN Security Council session, at which the latest report on UNMIK work was discussed, that his impressions from the session were very strong as there had been no major outbursts of support for Priština.

Minister Selaković stated that there was no unison support for Priština for the first time, which had been previously present among the representatives of those UNSC member states that recognized the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called "Kosovo".

“This time not only was there no unison support, and not only was the support more than lukewarm in some cases, but almost all members, even those who recognized Priština, condemned certain behaviour by Priština, such as the ban on holding the referendum on 16th January on changing the Serbian constitution as well as the presidential and parliamentary elections on 3rd April", said Minister Selaković.

According to him, the support for Serbia from all members of the UNSC who did not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called "Kosovo" was more than firm, including India, Ghana, Brazil, China, and Russia.
