Minister Đurić confers with French Senator Cadic

Minister Đurić emphasized that bilateral relations between Serbia and France are at an excellent level, characterized by intensive political dialogue and communication at all levels. He underlined that the Strategic Partnership Agreement, which will mark its 15th anniversary next year, has made a special contribution to the continuous strengthening and deepening of cooperation in various fields.

The Minister highlighted that the excellent personal relations and meetings between Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Emmanuel Macron represent a strong symbol of the joint commitment of the two countries to further develop friendship and cooperation.

Minister Đurić reiterated that Serbia’s path toward the European Union is a clear strategic priority and that EU membership remains the key foreign policy objective of the Republic of Serbia.

Referring to the situation in the region, Minister Đurić drew attention to the increasingly frequent unilateral actions of the authorities in Pristina and the continuation of policies of intimidation in the north of the Province. He renewed his appeal to the international community to urgently take steps to ensure security and protect the rights of the Serbian population.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation as an essential segment in advancing bilateral relations. It was noted that the intensification of such cooperation in recent years is a positive and encouraging development.

Minister Đurić pointed out that the friendship groups in the parliaments of Serbia and France are active and play a significant role in promoting Serbian–French friendship.

The interlocutors also discussed economic cooperation, which has gained strong momentum in recent years and continues to expand into new areas, thus complementing the excellent political relations between the two countries. The Minister recalled that numerous major infrastructure projects have been successfully implemented with French partners and that new ones are being launched, which will further contribute to Serbia’s economic development.

Minister Đurić also emphasized that Serbia is working diligently on preparations for the Specialized Expo 2027, a project of national importance, viewing it as an opportunity to showcase the country’s potential and attract new investments.
